NOTE: The Guest Book cache type was retired from OCNA in 2019, following a major website upgrade. Existing Guest Book caches were converted to the "Other" cache type. Guest Books will continue to be published on OCNA and should be submitted as "Other" cache type with details in the description to indicate that it is a guest book (we highly recommend including the words "Guest Book" in the title as well).

The Guest Book cache is a cache that shows the location of an existing guest book (or you can create a new one). Guest Books are often found in welcome centers, hotels, etc. The guest book should be open to the public so visitors can sign it. The guest book should not be temporary such as at a wedding, funeral or special event. When submitting a Guest Book cache listing, you should include the coordinates, the hours that it is accessible and details about the location that it is in. Be sure to select all appropriate attributes when submitting the cache.

As of April 2021, the Guestbook cache type has been merged into the Other cache type Unknown.png and a new Guestbook attribute Guestbook.png has been applied to all existing Guestbook caches. To seek or to hide a Guestbook cache, select the Other cache type along with the Guestbook attribute.

The Guest Book cache is a cache that shows the location of an existing guest book. Guest Books are often found in welcome centers, hotels, etc. Trail registers and Summit registers are also acceptable as long as they are permanent. The guest book should be open to the public so visitors can sign it. The guest book should not be temporary such as at a wedding, funeral or special event. When submitting a Guest Book cache listing, you should include the coordinates, the hours that it is accessible and details about the location that it is in. Be sure to select all appropriate attributes when submitting the cache (a Guest Book attribute is in the works).

To log a Guest Book Cache find, simply visit the site and sign the guest book. Return here and give us the details of your find and what you wrote in the guest book. Posting a photo of your signature in the guestbook is recommended but not required
